Covid-19: know the municipalities of PB that applied less vaccines received

Immunization against Covid-19 in Paraíba started on January 18th. According to data from the Informative Note from the State Department of Health (SES), released on Monday (29), nine municipalities are below 50% of doses received applied.

In total, the State received 656,630 doses of Sinovac vaccines, from the Butantan and Astrazeneca Institute, from the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz) and as of Monday (29), 413,094 had been applied to the population.

Logistics

The delivery of immunizers to the states is made by the Federal Government, through the Ministry of Health, which sends it to the State Health Secretariat and after that, the doses are sent to the municipalities for application. Logistics follows the National Immunization Plan (PNI), which also establishes priority groups for vaccination.

According to the note, the minimum goal to be achieved for vaccination should be at least 90% of the target audience recommended by the PNI.
