Uberaba registered until Tuesday (6) 1,084 cases of probable (notified cases except those discarded) of dengue, according to the Epidemiological Monitoring Bulletin of the cases of Dengue, Chikungunya and Zika. There are 91 more cases in seven days, or 9.16% increase in records. In the last survey there were 993 probable cases.
The municipality registers the third largest number of cases neither Minas Gerais, behind only the capital of Minas Gerais, which has 1,523 records of probable cases, and of Cataguases, in the Zona da Mata, with 1,113 probable cases of dengue.
The bulletin points out that Uberaba also registered 43 probable cases of chikungunya, ten more than in the previous document. In relation to the Zika Virus, the registration of this last bulletin is 3 cases, that is, one less than in the last disclosure, which shows that one case was discarded. The bulletin shows that Uberaba is at medium risk in relation to notifications of probable cases of Zika and Chikungunya, in autochthonous cases and in pregnant women. This means that the municipality had an increase of up to 25% in the percentage of positivity of samples from Chikungunya and Zika in the last four weeks, when compared with the percentage from the previous four weeks. The same happened in relation to the positivity of laboratory samples analyzed in the three arboviruses.
In relation to the 27 municipalities linked to the Triângulo Sul macro-region, the monitoring bets that the SRS risk is low risk.
Minas Gerais recorded 14,052 probable cases of dengue in this bulletin, 1,488 cases more than in the March 30 document, when there were 12,564 cases in the Minas Gerais municipalities, that is, 11.84% increase. Of the 14,025 probable cases of this monitoring, 4,718 cases were confirmed for the disease. This means that 9,334 cases are under investigation.
One death from dengue has been confirmed in Minas Gerais to date, in Paracatu, and another three deaths are under investigation.
Regarding Chikungunya Fever, 2,365 probable cases of the disease were registered in Minas Gerais, and of this total, 1,553 cases were confirmed. No deaths from chikungunya in Minas Gerais have been confirmed so far.
Regarding Zika, 94 probable cases were registered and, of this total, 9 were confirmed. Zika deaths in Minas Gerais have not been confirmed so far.
It is worth remembering that Minas Gerais experienced four dengue epidemics in the years 2010, 2013, 2016 and 2019. In 2019, 474 thousand probable cases and 188 deaths from dengue were reported. In 2020, 84,636 probable cases and 13 deaths from dengue were reported.
Motofog – The Municipality of Uberaba, through the Municipal Health Secretariat / Department of Zoonoses and Endemics Control, is carrying out nebulization with motofogs this week, until the 9th, to combat Aedes aegypti, a transmitter of diseases such as dengue, zika and chikungunya . The time for nebulizations is from 5 am to 7 am and from 5 pm to 10 pm. The Valim de Melo neighborhood receives fogging in the morning and the Lourdes neighborhood, in the afternoon, until this Friday.
Boa Vista received the motofog yesterday and tomorrow (9), in the morning and Baixa, on the 8th, in the morning. In the afternoon, on the 8th and 9th, the works continue at Parque São Geraldo and on the 7th, in Ponte Alta. The Department of Control of Zoonoses and Endemics reinforces that the nebulization acts on the adult mosquito – transmitter of dengue, zika virus, chikungunya – and that it is important for the population to be attentive and open doors and windows so that the insecticide has more reach.
Cleaning Task Force – According to data from the Department of Control of Zoonoses and Endemics, the Cleanup Task Force has already collected 70,620 kg since the beginning of the Task Force, on November 5, 2020. This year alone, 45,940 kg of unserviceable garbage were collected. Next week, the Mutirão will be at Residencial Nova Era.
