The Secretary of Health of the State follows the recommendation of the manufacturers of the vaccines in relation to the periods between the first and second dose.

The Secretariat of Health of the State of Bahia (SESAB) is conducting a survey with the municipalities to determine the number of people who have not returned to the vaccination posts to take the second dose against the new Coronavirus, which causes Covid-19.

The guideline is that municipal administrations promote an active search for people who took the first dose and did not show up to complete the immunization process.

SESAB follows the vaccine manufacturers’ recommendation regarding the deadlines between the first and second doses, based on the information that the immunization rate is only guaranteed with compliance with the protocol already tested. Coronavac, for example, has a maximum period for the application of the second dose of four weeks. Oxford / Astrazenca, 12 weeks.
