So far 1,260,662 gauchos have received the first dose of the vaccine against Covid-19 (11% of the population of 11,422,973 inhabitants) and 310,967 are already immunized with the second dose (2.7%).
Brazil
Brazil reached 331,433 deaths from covid-19, as updated by the Ministry of Health released on Sunday (4). In the last 24 hours, 1,240 new deaths were registered by the state health departments.
The sum of accumulated cases was 12,984,956. From Saturday to Sunday, 31,359 new cases of infection were reported. The data also indicate that 1,296,002 patients are currently being followed up. Another 11,357,521, corresponding to 87.5% of those infected, have already recovered.
The records of cases and deaths are usually lower on holidays, Saturdays and Sundays, due to the difficulty of feeding the data by the departments of Health. The impounding of information during the weekends usually inflates the data of the following days.
