ACI (Associação Catarinense de Imprensa) is publishing an official note, expressing great regret at the death of three journalists: Savas Apóstolo, Ozias Alves Júnior and Ney Padilha, all victims of Covid-19.

ACI expresses its solidarity with all the relatives and friends of the deceased professionals. And it reinforces the need for total social isolation until the vaccination plan advances.

Ozias was the founder and editor of Jornais em Foco, he had been admitted to the ICU since March 26th. Together with his brother Décio Alves, he founded the newspaper “Biguaçu em Foco” in 1993. He is the author of several books in several languages ​​and has a unique knowledge of the history of Biguaçu. On April 8 he would be 51 years old. Ozias leaves his wife.
