The balance sheet, released daily by the Ministry of Health, gathers information gathered by the state and district health departments.

The records of cases and deaths are usually lower on holidays, Saturdays and Sundays, due to the difficulty of feeding the data by the departments of Health. The impounding of information during the weekends usually inflates the data of the following days.

São Paulo reached 2.5 million infected people. The other states with the highest number of cases in the country are Minas Gerais (1.1 million) and Rio Grande do Sul (859 thousand). Acre, on the other hand, has the lowest number of cases (71 thousand), followed by Roraima (90.2 thousand) and Amapá (98.6 thousand).

In number of deaths, São Paulo also leads, with 76,500. River of January (37.6 thousand) and Minas Gerais (25.5 thousand) appear next. The states with the least deaths are Acre (1,284), Amapá (1,323) and Roraima (1,352).
