Covid: Brazil reports 1,987 deaths and 43,515 new cases in 24 hours – News

Brazil registered 1,987 for covid-19 deaths this Saturday (3), according to data sent by the states to the Ministry of Health and Conass (National Council of Health Secretaries). The number of newly diagnosed cases was 43,515.

With today’s balance, the country accounts for 330,193 deaths and 12,953,597 people diagnosed with the disease.

The moving average of deaths in the last 7 days registered a decrease when marking 2,806 this Saturday; in the last few days the average had been above 3 thousand. The moving average of new cases is 66,176, also lower than that registered during the last week, when it was above 70 thousand.

According to Conass data, the mortality rate for coronavirus in Brazil is 2.5% and the mortality rate for every 100 thousand inhabitants is 157.1. More than 11 million people have already recovered from covid-19 in the country, according to the Ministry of Health.
