Women detained at the airport for refusing quarantine after traveling to Dubai for plastic surgery – World

Two Irish women were arrested at Dublin airport in Ireland this Friday after returning from Dubai and refusing to make the quarantine period mandatory, according to Covid-19’s transmission prevention rules in the country.

According to DublinLive, Niamh Mureany, 25, and Kirstie McGrath, 30, had gone to Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, to undergo cosmetic surgery. As, on returning to their country of origin, they did not want to comply with the quarantine, they were arrested and promptly accused of non-compliance with the Public Health regulations installed in the context of the pandemic.

The two friends had already been in Dubai for about 15 days, also in order to undergo plastic surgery.

The family complains that the two women had already had problems in Dubai, despite having tested Covid-19 negative, because they allegedly wanted to “force them to pay 2,000 euros soon to cover the costs of quarantine at a hotel when they arrived in Dublin. “. The women eventually returned to Ireland two days later, but as they did not comply with the rules, they were arrested. According to the authorities, they will be present to the judge later this Saturday.
