Algarve registers 48 new cases of Covid-19

The Algarve registers 48 new cases of Covid-19, according to the bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) of this Saturday, April 3rd, which has just been released.

After yesterday having a death, the region returns today, not to register any mortal victim for Covid-19. As for new cases, the number increased compared to yesterday, when it had been 35.

Across the country, there were 280 new cases (268 less than on Friday) and 7 deaths, a decrease from the previous 24 hours (-2).

By regions, the one with the most new cases was Lisbon and the Tagus Valley (95), followed by the North (73), the Algarve (48), the Center (19), the Alentejo (18), Madeira (17) and the Azores (10).

In figures accumulated since the beginning of the pandemic, there have already been 823,142 cases and 16,875 deaths from this disease in Portugal.

In today’s bulletin it is reported that more than 318 recovered, bringing to 779,973 the people who have already killed Covid-19 in Portugal.

In this way, the active cases continue to fall, this time in 45, to 26,294.

In hospitals across the country, the number of hospitalized patients fell again, but slightly. There is only one less hospitalized person in the wards (512 total) and 5 less in intensive care (126 total).

The risk matrix data is only updated next Monday, and, therefore, the values ​​remain the same. The incidence rate, at national level, remains at 65.6 cases of infection per 100 thousand inhabitants, and at 62.9 cases per 100 thousand, excluding the autonomous regions.
