
“With this lot more, the institution guarantees enough IFA for the production of covid-19 vaccines until May. Fiocruz received IFA in the last days equivalent to 23.5 million doses. In addition to the 11 million doses already produced and which are in the process of quality control, Fiocruz guarantees 35 million doses to be delivered to the National Immunization Program (PNI) ”, informed the foundation.
According to Fiocruz, so far 8.1 million doses of the covid-19 vaccine have been delivered to the Ministry of Health, with 4 million doses imported from India and 4.1 million produced until last Friday (2). Deliveries will total 100.4 million doses by July.
Regarding the possibility of delayed delivery of IFA this month, the foundation commented in a note, stating that it has material to continue manufacturing vaccines.
“Fiocruz clarifies that it has been working to guarantee all the necessary imports of inputs and reagents for the production of the covid-19 vaccine. Despite the international transport difficulties faced by several countries, the institution has guaranteed inputs for the production of the coming weeks. ”
