Paulo Henrique was first admitted to the Hospital de Arapoema, but had to be transferred to Araguaína after having a worsening of his health. The health unit he was in was not informed by the municipality.
The mayor of the city, Paulo Pedreira, decreed an official three-day mourning in the city, between 2 and 4 April, and issued a note of regret.
“The municipal administration recognizes and appreciates the immense social and educational contribution of Paulo Henrique to the city of Arapoema, having exercised the role of teacher, manager of the Cadastro Único and assumed the position of Municipal Secretary of Education”, he says.
Arapoema is in the northern region of the state and has 6,700 inhabitants. The city has 393 confirmed cases of coronavirus and five deaths from the disease, according to the latest epidemiological bulletin.
