27 more new cases and one death in the last 24 hours – Leiria Region

The latest assessment of the epidemiological situation in the region of Leiria accounts for yet another death, recorded in Caldas da Rainha, in the last 24 hours.

In relation to yesterday, Friday, 27 more people were infected, 14 in Leiria, six in Marinha Grande, four in Porto de Mós, two in Caldas da Rainha and one in Peniche.

Despite the number of new cases remaining above recoveries, the figures are very close. Leiria is the municipality with the most recoveries (12 cases), followed by Marinha Grande (9).

Since the beginning of the pandemic, in March 2020, the region of Leiria has totaled 29,122 confirmed cases, 27,955 recoveries, 291 active cases and 876 deaths.

The data refer to the 16 municipalities in the district of Leiria and the municipality of Ourém which, despite belonging to the district of Santarém, maintains close proximity to Leiria and has the Hospital de Santo André as a reference hospital.
