In the last 24 hours, Portugal registered 11 more deaths and 592 new ones infected by covid-19, according to the bulletin released by the Directorate-General for Health (DGS).
It is an increase from the previous three deaths, although there was a slight decrease from the 618 infected on Wednesday. This is the day with the most fatalities since March 24, when the report also pointed to 11 deaths.
In total, since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been a total of 822,314 confirmed cases, of which 16,859 have resulted in deaths.
In the last 24 hours, 702 more have been recovered. At the moment, the country has 26,543 active cases of the new coronavirus, 121 less than the day before.
The number of hospitalizations has dropped: there are now less than 2 inpatients, out of a total of 538; in Intensive Care Units the number rises to 129, two more than the day before.
Six deaths occurred in Lisbon and the Tagus Valley, which has another 267 infected. Four were in the North, which has 150 more cases, and the other was in the Center, which has 41 more infected.
In the Alentejo there are 35 more cases, in the Algarve 64, in Madeira 26 and in the Azores nine.

50-59 years: a woman
60-69 years: two men
70-79 years: a man and a woman
Over 80 years: one man and five women
