Covid-19. Portugal registers 11 more deaths and 592 new cases

Portugal registered, in the last 24 hours, 592 more infections by the new coronavirus and 11 deaths, reveals the epidemiological bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health.

This Thursday’s data shows a 0.07% increase in cases and 0.07% deaths compared to the previous day.

There are now 26,543 active cases in the country, 121 less than yesterday, due to more 702 people (778,912 in total) have recovered Covid-19 in Portugal.

As for the hospitalizations, DGS reports that there are 538 patients in the ward (20 less than yesterday), of which 129 are in Intensive Care Units (two more than yesterday).

Of the 11 deaths reported today, six took place in Lisbon and the Tagus Valley, four in the North and one in the Centro region.

In the last few hours, Lisbon and Tagus Valley registered the highest number of new infections, 267, followed by the North with 150. The Center diagnosed 41 more cases, the Alentejo 35 and the Algarve 64.

In the autonomous regions, Azores identified nine more contagions and the Madeira 26.
