A band of the 5ª Regio de Polcia Militar (RPM), in octet format and keeping the social distancing, performed in front of Uberaba hospitals, in the late afternoon and on the night of that Wednesday (3/31). The mission: bring joy to the hospitalized patients with COVID-19 and also to frontline professionals doena fighter.
In addition, in order to bring a little leisure to the Uberaba community in this very difficult moment of the pandemic, military musicians played walking through the squares and streets of the city, until the end of this Wednesday night.
According to information from the press office of the 5th RPM, several patients, health professionals, besides being popular, were thrilled and applauded the action.
“Music is an inexhaustible source of inspiration and has in its essence the high capacity to soften nervous tensions and harmonize the darkest environments, making hearts and minds happy”, considered the 5th RPM Band conductor, Lieutenant Neoclides. He thanked the brilliance of his musicians, who “went to great lengths to bring some music to the hearts of those in need”.
“The activity developed by our musicians is an important work in bringing the Military Police closer to the community”, concluded the lieutenant of the 5th RPM.
More than 500 deaths
According to the last epidemiological bulletin in Uberaba, released on Wednesday night (3/31), since the beginning of the pandemic, 19,234 positive cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in the city, of which 530 people died and 16,217 recovered.
In the past 24 hours, 12 people have died and 132 new cases have been reported; numbers considered high for the municipality.
In addition, the ICU / COVID occupancy rate, both in public and private hospitals, remains close to the limit.
