Algarve with 64 more cases and no deaths

The Algarve has 64 new cases of Covid-19 and has again not registered any deaths, according to the bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) this Thursday, April 1st, which has just been released.

The number of new cases rose again considerably, in the Algarve region (+29). Deaths, on the other hand, continue to be kept away from the Algarve.

At the national level, there were 11 deaths, well above the average of the last few days and eight more than this Wednesday.

The new cases were 592 across the country, a decrease from yesterday (-26).

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 822,314 cases have been diagnosed and 16,859 deaths have been reported in Portugal.

There were 702 recoveries, bringing to 778,912 people who have already recovered from the disease, in cumulative terms.

Active cases also continue to decline, in this case, to 26,543 (-121).

Today, there are 538 people in hospitals, 20 fewer than yesterday. In intensive care, the number of patients increased to 128 (+2).

By regions, Lisbon and the Tagus Valley have 267 new cases, followed by the North (150), the Algarve (64), the Center (41), the Alentejo (35), Madeira (26) and the Azores (9 ).

There are 15,950 surveillance contacts (+150).
