There are 11 more deaths from covid-19 and 592 positive cases reported within 24 hours. Lisbon and Tagus Valley with the highest daily values. Number of inpatients is the lowest since September 21.
In total, there are 16,859 deaths associated with covid-19 and 822,314 infections by the new SARS CoV-2 coronavirus in the country, according to the epidemiological bulletin released by the Directorate-General for Health, this Thursday.
Regarding daily values, there are 11 more deaths: six in Lisbon and the Tagus Valley, four in the North and one in the Center area. There are six people aged 80 or over (five women and one man), two aged 70-79 years (one man and one woman), two women aged 60-69 years and another woman aged 50-59 years. It should be noted that, on Wednesday, there were three fatalities.
As for the 592 new positive cases, it is also the region of Lisbon and the Tagus Valley that has the highest numbers with 267 notifications. The North has over 150, the Algarve over 64, the Center over 41, the Alentejo over 35, Madeira over 26 and the Azores over nine.
Hospitals record minus 20 boarding schools, in a total of 538 infected patients who remain hospitalized, of which 129 (minus two) require intensive care. The number of hospitalized patients is the lowest since September 21, when 518 people were hospitalized.
On the other hand, managed to recover 702 more people, amounting to 778,912 the total recovered from covid-19 in Portugal.
The authorities have under surveillance plus 150 contacts, bringing to 15,950 people who are in prophylactic isolation, whether recovering from infection at home or by contact with someone infected.
Portugal presents 26,543 active cases covid-19, that is, 121 minus compared to Wednesday.
Geographically, it is Lisbon and the Tagus Valley that has the highest number of fatalities per covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic, in March 2020, in a total of 7135. It follows the North with 5305, the Center with 2999, the Alentejo with 970, the Algarve with 353, Madeira with 68 and the Azores with 26.
The North has more positive cases, with 330,823 notifications, Lisbon and Vale do Tejo have 311,729 and the Center reported 117,204. It is followed by the Alentejo with 29,115, the Algarve with 20,739, Madeira with 8632 and the Azores with 4072.
