According to the Secretary of State for Health, Geraldo Resende, this amount will ensure that the municipalities conclude the vaccination of remaining priority groups and continue to advance in the vaccination campaign against Covid-19 in the State. “Mato Grosso do Sul is an example for the country in the distribution of lots and application of vaccines. We are going to keep going to advance more and more in the immunization of the population ”, he said.
The 11th batch consists of 101,000 doses of the Coronavac vaccine and 8,500 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine. With that, Mato Grosso do Sul adds 576,510 doses received of the immunizer.
Mato Grosso do Sul has already applied 398,132 doses of the vaccine against Covid, 303,855 of whom received the first dose and 94,277 who received the second dose. According to a national survey, Mato Grosso do Sul is the first Brazilian state with the best performance in vaccination. Here, 10.82% of the adult population received the first dose of the immunizer.
Mato Grosso do Sul received the first batch with 158,700 doses of the Coronavac vaccine on January 18. The second batch arrived in the state on January 24 with 22,000 doses of the AstraZeneca / Oxford vaccine. The third batch arrived in the State on January 25 with 10,200 doses of the Coronavac vaccine produced in Brazil. The fourth batch arrived on February 7 with 32,000 doses of Coronavac vaccine produced by the Butantan Institute.
The fifth batch arrived on February 24 with 35,700 doses, 22,500 of which were AstraZeneca / Oxford and 13,200 doses of Coronavac. The sixth batch arrived on March 4 with 27,800 doses of the Coronavac vaccine. The seventh batch arrived on March 9th with 30,600 doses of Coronavac. The eighth batch arrived on March 17 with 54,600 doses of Coronavac. The new batch arrived on March 20 with 48,650 doses, 47,400 from Coronavac and another 1,250 AstraZeneca / Oxford. The tenth batch arrived on March 26 with 46,700 doses, comprising 38,800 doses of the Coronavac vaccine and 7,900 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
