The European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) has updated the map of the incidence of the pandemic in Europe, which is illustrated by colors, with dark red being the most serious and light yellow the least. Currently, there is a setback in two regions compared to last week.
Thus, the regions of Alentejo and Algarve joined Lisbon and Vale do Tejo at the orange level, (before they were in yellow). But there is good news, the Center, which was orange last week, changed to yellow. It should be noted that Madeira has a darker shade, due to delays in the notification of cases and the Azores remain orange.
According to the organization, our country remains, just like last week, the country of the European Union (EU) with the lowest rate of notification of cases at 14 days. The 14-day case notification rate in Portugal is set at an average of 71.09, which puts you in the first position in the ranking with the lowest values in this indicator. Last week it showed exactly the same values, which reflects a stabilization.
As for the 14-day death notification rate, the scenario is still not so triumphant, with Portugal presenting an average of 21.27 deaths, which puts it in 6th place, also as last week.
