Itabira notifies 10 more dead and number jumps to 193

Ten new deaths associated with Covid-19 were reported by the municipality of Itabira in an epidemiological bulletin released on Wednesday (31). The deaths occurred between Monday (29) and today, sometimes at home, sometimes in hospital units – Carlos Chagas Municipal Hospital (HMCC), Nossa Senhora das Dores Hospital (HNSD) and Municipal Emergency Room.

The victims are aged between 44 and 87 years. Only one did not have a history of comorbidities – the others had pre-existing health conditions. With the records, the number of deaths related to the pandemic rose to 193 in the municipality.

The bulletin also informs that there were 13,771 positive for the new coronavirus. Altogether, 11,638 are considered to be recovered: asymptomatic individuals who have undergone isolation or have no more symptoms.

The occupancy of beds this Wednesday keeps 104% in intensive care units (ICU) and 95% in wards.
