With COVID-19, Branco leaves the ICU and can be discharged before Easter

The ex-player White was discharged from the Intensive Care Unit (UTI) where he was hospitalized in Rio de Janeiro, this Wednesday. There is an expectation that the former athlete will leave the hospital before Easter, on Sunday.

“Every day is a new victory, amazing evolution, thank God! It is closer to the exit door every day. Undoubtedly with the help of everyone who asked in prayer for his life and recovery,” said Branco’s wife, Cleo pozzebon, on the social networks. She published a photo with Branco, right after leaving the ICU. In the image, it is possible to see the ex-player visibly thinner.

World champion with the Brazilian team, in the tetra campaign in the 1994 World Cup, Branco has been hospitalized since March 16. His case came to present serious complications and, therefore, he was sedated and intubated, breathing with the help of mechanical ventilation devices.The gradual improvement began a week ago. Doctors then began the process of removing it from mechanical ventilators. Last Tuesday, Branco was extubated after a significant improvement in his health. But the 56-year-old former player remains in hospital care.
