José Furtado – 05/04/2021 – 14:42

GRAPHIC General trend is downward in the district where there are four counties to zero.

The incidence rate of Covid-19 increased in the municipalities of Vila de Rei and Sertã compared to the last assessment released by the General Directorate of Health.

The number of municipalities in the district with zero rate thus increases from five to four in the period from 17 to 30 March, according to the data released this Monday.

However, the general tendency is for the number of cases to drop per 100 thousand inhabitants, with the incidence continuing to zero in the municipalities of Penamacor, Idanha-a-Nova, Oleiros and Vila Velha de Ródão.

Belmonte continues to be the county in the district with the highest number of infected people per 100 thousand inhabitants but it went down from 297 to 109 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants.

Covilhã remains in second place in the district with 56 cases but also dropped 17 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants.

Sertã is the third municipality with the highest incidence, with 41 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants, plus seven.

Vila de Rei went from zero to 30 despite the fact that the data released daily by the Castelo Branco Local Health Unit do not indicate active cases since 8 March.

In Castelo Branco, 17 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants remained, and Fundão is close to zero, with only four cases, minus 26.

The rest of the counties are at zero.
