The Directorate-General of Health, in the epidemiological update of COVID-19 in Portugal today, updated the Cumulative Incidence by municipality, with data from 03/17/2021 to 03/30/2021.
According to DGS data, the Alentejo region has 15 municipalities in the Alentejo with a cumulative incidence of 0, namely: Alvito, Arronches, Avis, Barrancos, Castelo de Vide, Crato, Fronteira, Gavião, Marvão, Mértola, Monforte, Mora, Ourique, Sousel and Vila Viçosa.
It should be noted that DGS in today’s update presents a new methodology for calculating Cumulative incidence. The Cumulative Incidence at 14 days of infection by SARS-CoV-2 / COVID-19 corresponds to the quotient between the number of new confirmed cases in the 14 days prior to the moment of analysis and the estimated resident population, by municipality, on December 31, 2019, by the National Institute of Statistics, IP. It is usually expressed in number of cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
