8-year-old boy discharged after 4 months with Covid and transferred by helicopter from the countryside to the capital | Rio de Janeiro

He was discharged after four months in hospital – and now can’t wait to play football and ride a bicycle, as shown by RJ2 on Monday (5).

In December last year, the boy had 90% of the lungs compromised, needed to be transferred from an Emergency Care Unit, in the city of São José de Ubá, a city in the north of the state, to a hospital in the capital.

The race against time mobilized a Fire Department mobile ICU and a Navy aircraft.

He spent four months of treatment at the Municipal Hospital Jesus, in Vila Isabel, until it was time to leave the hospital to return home and do what he liked best.
