Among the 29,500 interned, 12,963 are in Intensive Care beds and 16,547 in the infirmary. There was a decrease in both types of beds: the ICU level was above 13 thousand patients between April 1st and 4th. In addition, between March 23 and April 3, the data showed more than 18,000 people in clinical beds, a number that started to fall just yesterday. Today, occupancy rates for ICU beds are 90.6% in the State and 90.5% in Greater São Paulo.

Throughout the pandemic, there have already been 2,532,047 confirmed cases of COVID-19, with 77,165 fatal victims of the disease. Among the total infected, 2,184,195 are already recovered, including 257,178 people who were hospitalized and discharged.

The Emergency Phase of the São Paulo Plan is in effect until April 11, with the maintenance of the strictest restrictions aimed at guaranteeing life assistance and containing overload in hospitals across the State, in addition to curbing the increase in new cases, hospitalizations and deaths from the coronavirus.

The Government of SP reiterates the importance of measures of personal distance, use of masks and hand hygiene. It is essential that the population stays at home, at this moment.
