The UK recorded 2,726 cases of the new coronavirus and 26 fatalities on Monday, according to data from the British Department of Health and Welfare.
Despite an increase in contagions and deaths compared to the previous day – 429 more infections and 16 deaths -, justified by the underreporting of data, the average of the last seven days continues to fall: 33.5% less contagions and 44% less Deaths.
There are currently 3,536 people with symptoms associated with covid-19 admitted to British hospitals, 273 of whom have been admitted in the past 24 hours. There are 517 patients in intensive care units.
The British government also reported that about 31.5 million people have already received a dose of the covid-19 vaccine and more than five million are already fully immunized.
Since the start of the pandemic, British authorities have reported 4,362,150 infections and 126,862 people have died within 28 days of having tested positive.
