The latest assessment of the epidemiological situation in the region of Leiria reports 11 new positive cases and six recoveries.
Leiria is, for the second consecutive day, the municipality where most people became infected with SARS-CoV-2 (eight cases), followed, again, by Marinha Grande (2). In Ourém, there was another positive case.
With regard to recoveries, three were registered in Leiria, two in Nazaré and one in Marinha Grande.
These data do not include information from the municipalities of the Grouping of Health Centers of Pinhal Interior that are part of the region of Leiria – Alvaiázere, Ansião, Castanheira de Pera, Figueiró dos Vinhos and Pedrógão Grande – which have not been updated since April 2.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, in March 2020, the region of Leiria has totaled 29,142 confirmed cases, 27,967 recoveries, 298 active cases and 877 deaths.
The data refer to the 16 municipalities in the district of Leiria and the municipality of Ourém which, despite belonging to the district of Santarém, maintains close proximity to Leiria and has the Hospital de Santo André as a reference hospital.
