Public security professionals get vaccinated for covid-19 today in SP

The government of São Paulo today begins to vaccinate public security and prison administration professionals across the state. The expectation, according to Governor João Doria (PSDB), is to immunize 180 thousand workers in the area.

“These professionals are essential and are exposed daily on the streets, fulfilling their duty and obligation to protect the population. But they also protect those who are in essential jobs, especially those on the front line, who are the health professionals”, Doria said at a March 24 news conference.

Included in the vaccination plan are federal police officers who work in São Paulo, military, civilian, firefighters, from the Scientific Police, security officers and penitentiary escorts and municipal metropolitan civil guards.

Last Friday (2), 68-year-olds and workers at the funeral service in the state of São Paulo were able to get vaccinated.

Next Monday (12), it will be the turn of education professionals over 47 years old, totaling 350 thousand people. These professionals can work in the municipal, state and private networks. At this stage, the plan foresees the immunization of teachers, inspectors, school principals, janitors and cooks.
