Today begins the first stage of vaccination against the covid-19 of professionals from the security forces of the Federal District. In total, 2,310 doses will be destined for military, civil, federal, criminal, federal highway officers, firefighters, agents of the Traffic Department (Detran) and the Department of Highways (DER), employees of the socio-educational system, of the Secretariat of Security DF (SSP / DF), the Ministry of Justice and the National Penitentiary Department (DEPEN). Today, there will be no vaccination of elderly people aged 66. The Health Department is waiting for more doses from the Ministry of Health to continue immunizing this public.

In an interview with mail, the secretary of the SSP-DF, delegate Júlio Danilo, affirmed that the established criterion is that, initially, the professionals in the front line will be vaccinated, due to the closest exposure to the risk of contagion and transmission of the virus, such as those involved in rescue and pre-hospital care and in the surveillance of social distance measures. Age is also another determining factor in the definition of priority.

O mail prepared a table with the number of servers, separated by corporation, that will be immunized in this first stage, in addition to the vaccination sites (see Schedule). With 9,777 military personnel, the largest of all corporations, the PMDF received a total of 770 doses for the first stage. Vaccination will begin for the elderly, aged 62 to 50, and will occur exclusively between today and tomorrow, at the Basic Health Unit (UBS) No. 1 of Núcleo Bandeirante, located on 3rd Avenue, Special Area No. 3.

Second, with 5.9 military personnel, the Fire Department will vaccinate 460 civil servants between the morning of today and the afternoon of tomorrow, starting with the elders. The Civil Police of the Federal District (PCDF) defined that the 350 civilized immunized police officers will be those who act directly in the sanitary actions to combat the pandemic, previously assigned by the Department of the Circumscriptional Police (DPC), as well as the police officers assigned in a non-eventual way. shifts from the circumstantial police stations, from the units of the Child and Adolescent Police Stations (DCA’s 1 and 2), the Specialized Women’s Service Police Station (Deam’s 1 and 2) and the Specialized Police Department.

Planning

In all security forces, there are about 30,000 servers, which would need approximately 60,000 doses to immunize everyone. The total number will only be reached with the arrival of new lots coming from the Federal Government. The immunization to security professionals was thanks to the sending of 116 thousand doses of vaccines sent by the Ministry of Health (MS) to the GDF, last Thursday, of which 100 thousand are from CoronaVac, produced by the Butantan Institute, and 16 thousand from Covishield, developed by Oxford University, with the Swedish-British pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca.

Each corporation has defined the list of priorities for civil servants that will be vaccinated based on technical note 297/21, from the Ministry of Health (MS), which takes into account the capacity and function exercised and age. In topics, the document orders the vaccination priority. First, there are workers involved in the care or transport of patients; workers who work in rescue and pre-hospital care; those involved in vaccination actions against covid-19; in the actions of surveillance of the social distance measures, with direct and constant contact with the independent public of the category.

Second dose

Unlike Saturday, where there was an intense movement of brasilienses in the drive-thrus of vaccination against the covid-19, yesterday the day was quiet in Parking 3 of Parque da Cidade. The service started at 9 am and ended at 3:30 pm, with low demand from the elderly and health professionals for the application of the second dose.

In most of the morning, while the Post Office was there, there were about 40 vehicles in the queue, with waiting times of up to 20 minutes. Lawyer Augusto Fidelis, 73 years old, resident of Asa Sul, arrived at the place around 9:30 am and was vaccinated quickly. “I am taking the second dose very satisfied, and I congratulate the team for the efficient work they have done. It is a disease that is killing a lot of people in Brazil, mainly ”, he said.

Retired Maria Madeira Filho, 73, who lives in Taguatinga, also celebrated when she received the second dose of the vaccine. “I am relieved, because what we are going through is a very big concern for everyone. It’s not just taking the elderly, it’s everyone ”, he claims. Despite the tranquility, she says that she still has no expectations for the return of a normal life. “We are attentive and frightened by everything that is happening, but confident in God that everything is going to change”, he says.

FOUR QUESTIONS FOR: Secretary of the SSP-DF, delegate Júlio Danilo

How was the coordination and planning process for public security professionals to receive the vaccine dose against covid-19 in that first moment?
The planning to define the application of the first 2,310 doses destined to Public Security was carried out through joint meetings between representatives of the Public Security (SSP / DF) and Health (SES), Civil House and corporations served. The established criterion is that, initially, professionals in the front line will be vaccinated, due to the closest exposure to the risk of contagion and transmission of the virus, such as those involved in rescue and pre-hospital care and in the surveillance of health measures. social distancing. Age is also another determining factor in the definition of priority.

Did you participate in the definition of the criteria? What was prioritized in this choice?
We take into consideration, in this first moment, the servers that are most exposed to the contagion and transmission of the virus. The immunization of these professionals is essential for the continuity of the services performed by the security forces, which, even in the face of the pandemic, has stood out on the national scene. Criteria established by the General Coordination of the National Immunization Program, of the Ministry of Health, were also observed, informed by means of a technical note (Nº 297/2021). The document recommends making doses available to professionals in the security and rescue forces and armed forces directly involved in actions to combat covid-19, ordered by priority.

What do you expect in relation to the expansion of vaccination of security professionals?
The prospect is that in the shortest possible time all public security professionals are vaccinated. What is extremely important for the continuity of services, and it is worth mentioning that at no time did these servers stop. But it is clear that this forecast depends on the transfer of vaccines by the Ministry of Health to SES. As doses are delivered, we will follow the established criteria and continue vaccination within the proportion of staff in each corporation.

Do you think that the controversy of the queue-breakers, which caused tension in the troops, could bring problems to public security in this pandemic moment? How to deal with this?
There is no tension. We have given transparency to the immunization process, mainly for the respect and thanks that we have for the work developed by each professional in the area. SSP / DF was at the forefront of the negotiations, which counted on the unrestricted support of Governor Ibaneis. The meetings for the definition of criteria were attended by representatives of the institutions, both district and federal, who have disseminated the information internally. We also count on the support of the press so that the correct information reaches everyone.
