The Ford website is now as the American brand wants, only with cars manufactured outside the country. Those who are still looking to buy Ka, Ka Sedan or EcoSport, unfortunately, will no longer find it in the distributor network of the Dearborn manufacturer, which left (production) in Brazil.
With production closed on the fateful (for everyone who depends on it) on January 11, the stocks of the three models did not last long, even with consumers knowing the end of definitive production.
To complicate matters, in addition to the huge devaluation of the trio, they suffered from a lack of parts in the Ford chain and in the auto parts market.
For this reason, in an unusual way, Ford called on the employees who would be fired (and who had their arms crossed) to keep the production of parts for a while, both in Camaçari and in Taubaté.
With a huge gap in the market, the departure of Ka opened the space for competitors to compete for their place in the Top 10 of the market, as he mediates forces with the HB20 for the second place in the market.
Certainly, with the suspension of the production of the Onix for two months, the Ka would have a chance to even lead the thing, especially since Ford had no production limitation in Camaçari, unlike Hyundai in Piracicaba.
In this wave, the Ka Sedan could also gain some volume in the shortage of Chevrolet cars, turning the game on top of GM, as Hyundai is now doing.
As for EcoSport, its track would not change much, since no competitor will have production suspended for a long time, beyond a week or two at the most.
Now, the Ford website continues with what is left, a multinational portfolio, with the Argentine Ranger becoming a best seller, the Chinese Territory looking for its place, the Canadian Edge figuring and the American Mustang as an image car.
Still, soon we will have the Mexican Bronco Sport (and not what you saw in the Ford teaser), followed by the American Mustang Mach 1 and the Transit van, which returns to Brazil, but naturalized Uruguayan.
