Some secrets about certain companies seem like the old question of “who came first, the chicken or the egg?”
One of them, which turns and moves back to the internet surface, is whether the “T” of the car manufacturer’s logo Tesla, in reality, he doesn’t want to imitate a cat’s muzzle more than just representing the letter of the alphabet.
The theory is old. In 2015, a group of people on Reddit started a discussion about the similarity between Tesla’s letter “T” and a cat’s nose. “I think it’s based on the battery symbol on a circuit diagram,” said one user at the time. But the statement was not enough to remedy the theories.
In 2019, a forum (also on Reddit) again discussed the possibility with a succinct post: “The Tesla logo is just the representation of a cat’s muzzle,” wrote a user of the social network.
Several comments in the publication agreed with the statement, while others made fun of it. One of them even suggested that Tesla “should replace its horns with meows” – something that has not yet happened, but with Elon Musk in charge, nothing is impossible.
It was in that same year that a Twitter user, in a ten second dose of courage, asked the richest man in the world: “is it true that the Tesla logo is the nose of a kitten?” To which Musk replied: “yes”.
But in fact, the billionaire’s response was just a joke. Years earlier, in 2017, he had already explained the real meaning of the shape of the letter “T” when it came to identifying the electric car manufacturer.
It turns out that that Reddit user back in 2015 was much closer to the truth. “Similar to SpaceX, the T is like a cross section of an electric motor, just like the X is like the trajectory of a rocket,” explained Musk in a tweet.
