Amazon starts delivering same day deliveries in So Paulo

Retail giant Amazon announced that it will start delivering same day deliveries in São Paulo. The buyer does not need to be a subscriber of Prime – which already has this type of express delivery – to have access to the benefit, which will add from R $ 14.90 to the total purchase amount for subscribing customers and R $ 18.90 for non-subscribers .

Despite being a pioneer and renowned company in the United States, Amazon faces strong competition here, such that it already offers a similar express service. Following B2W, the parent company of the subsidiaries Lojas Americanas, Shoptime and Submarino, the American giant will provide the fast delivery for purchases made until 12:00, and for now it will only cover the city of São Paulo. Products sold on the marketplace, that is, supplied by third parties, will not have the option of express freight available, limiting the service only to the catalog provided by the company itself.

Especially in the current pandemic scenario, the delivery service is becoming more and more in demand. According to Roth, the company is prepared to launch the same day delivery method, being able to benefit customers in several ways, especially in cases where the product purchased is urgent.
