The biscuit and dry pasta maker M. Dias Branco recorded a 21% drop in net income for the fourth quarter compared to the same period last year, to R $ 209 million. Revenue rose 0.4%, to R $ 1.70 billion. Net income before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (Ebitda, in its acronym in English) fell 33.5%, to R $ 192.2 million. The company has a conference call with analysts at 11 am.

Enauta’s net profit fell 69% in the fourth quarter, to R $ 38.2 million. According to the company, the result was reflected by the effect of the exchange rate variation on foreign currency lease contracts.

Revenue decreased 54%, from R $ 404.4 million to R $ 186.9 million. The decline reflected the fall in oil prices and the reduction in production from the Atlanta Field. From October to December, production was carried out through a well for 60 days and interrupted on the other days, according to a management report.

The operating result (before financial and taxes) was negative by R $ 13.7 million. A year earlier it was positive at R $ 122.7 million. Profit before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization fell by half, totaling R $ 129.5 million. The company has a conference call with analysts at 11 am.

The company estimates investments in exploration, development and production in the order of US $ 40 million in 2021 and US $ 105 million in 2022, which at the current exchange rate would be around R $ 228 million and R $ 598 million, respectively. This projection has a margin of variation of 20% more or less and is valid for one year.

Petrobras announced that it had received nominations from the Franklin Templeton Investment Fund for the company’s fiscal council. The fund indicated, in the position of preferred shareholder, Reginaldo Ferreira Alexandre as holder of the board. Paulo Roberto Franceschi was appointed as an alternate.

Banco do Brasil’s people, compensation and eligibility committee approved the appointment of Fausto de Andrade Ribeiro for the position of president of the institution.

The reserve period for small investors to buy shares of Blau Farmacêutica ends on Monday (5) before the debut on the stock exchange, scheduled for Thursday (8), under the code BLAU3.

Cielo informed that it concluded a transaction whereby it permanently assigned to Elo Serviços all rights related to the processing platform and to the transaction authorizer developed by Cielo for the Elo brand.

The total amount of the transaction involving this software is R $ 380 million. The full payment of this amount will be made in cash. The transaction, deducted from the amounts already recognized as licensing revenue – R $ 187.5 million – plus monetary restatement, and net of the write-off of residual development costs and tax effects, will produce an effect initially estimated at R $ 75.9 million in Cielo’s results in the first quarter of 2021.

After the IPO, mining company Méliuz wants to take its platform that offers cash back on purchases, the “cashback”, abroad. In the next six months, the company works on the technological integration of the Polish coupon site Picodi, from which it acquired 51% of the capital, for R $ 120 million, in February.

Inter Construtora ended the fourth quarter with a loss of R $ 30.5 million, reversing the profit of R $ 12.2 million recorded a year earlier.

Net revenue fell 43%, to R $ 49.5 million. In the quarter, the company did not launch and gross sales fell 8%, to R $ 81.8 million. In addition, there was an increase in the costs of materials and services, caused by the pandemic, and the revision of the budgets of some works, according to Inter management.

Neoenergia’s Electricity Company of the State of Bahia (Coelba) signed a financing agreement with Jica (Japan International Cooperation Agency) and MUFG Bank in the total amount of US $ 150 million. The money will be used to expand and maintain the distribution network.

Eletrobras informed that the shareholders of its subsidiary, Companhia Hidro Elétrica do São Francisco (Chesf), and of the 11 Special Purpose Entities (SPEs), acquired at the beginning of the year by the company, approved at the meeting the merger of the SPEs into Chesf.
