Chevrolet Tracker 2022 Wins Android Auto and Apple CarPlay Wireless 01/04/2021

The Chevrolet Tracker 2022 is anticipated and hits stores in the first half of this month with news. The model will come with an improvement in the multimedia center MyLink, which is the adoption of wireless integration with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay systems. Until then, the functionality was only available via cable and USB port.

To have a wireless connection, the smartphone also needs to be equipped with the system, something that still occurs only with top models. The update on the MyLink control panel will be available since the LT version; only the entry version that has no name (1.0 Turbo) was left out of the update.

With the new functionality, the Tracker is more modern in terms of connection, since it already had the wireless smartphone charging system (induction) located in the vehicle’s central console and integrated WiFi. Now, the GM system is paired with the Fiat multimedia center that since Strada offers the wireless integration system.

The compact SUV that disputes the top of the table in the year with the VW T-Cross and the Jeep Renegade achieved the market leadership in March with 6,400 registered units.

It continues to be offered in versions 1.0 Turbo (unnamed) manual or automatic, LT, LTZ and Premier, the latter available with 1.0 or 1.2 turbo engine. The 1.0 Turbo engine yields up to 116 hp with ethanol, while the 1.2 Turbo delivers up to 133 hp.
