A Auchan Retail Portugal announced this Thursday that it will sell from next week the Covid-19 self-tests in the ‘My Health and Wellness’ spaces. The tests are distributed by Roche, the first to receive the green light for commercialization by Infarmed in Portugal.
According to a statement to which the News to the Minute had access, the tests will be available in individual packages and boxes of 25 units, for now with an initial price of 6.99 euros and 6.79 euros / unit, respectively.
Well’s and Pingo Doce also already sell antigen self-tests, as announced by both companies on Wednesday.
Well’s starts this Thursday to commercialize the said tests, with a price only 6.99 euros per unit. Pingo Doce, which yesterday started selling them in the Lisbon region, makes these articles available for 6.79 euros per unit, in an initial phase in boxes of 25 units.
Auchan recalls that “conducting SARS-CoV-2 antigen self-tests is the responsibility of customer’s entire responsibility, who should read and strictly follow the instructions in the information leaflet “.
However, and although they cannot be carried out at points of sale, Auchan will have teams from the Health and Wellness area “available and trained, who received prior training, to support and clarify all customer doubts, from the test procedure to the communication of the results to the health authorities “.
In the case of Auchan, the tests will be for sale only in the Health and Wellness spaces and can only be sold to customers aged 18 or over. The test result takes a long time between 15 and 30 minutes.
