B3 included Locaweb (LWSA3) in the first theoretical portfolio of the Bovespa Index valid for the period between January and April 2021. There was no exclusion of any paper, and with that, the Ibovespa now has 83 shares.

The technology company, which debuted on the Stock Exchange in February last year and has since accumulated an appreciation of more than 420%, enters with a weight of 0.46% of participation in the first preview of the index. The entry of the paper was already expected by the market.

In reports, both XP and Bank of America projected a high probability of entry taking into account the history of volume, number of shares traded and number of trades in assets.

The greatest weight of the index remains as Vale, with a share of 12.332%, but decreasing compared to the current 13.038%. Following is Itaú Unibanco (ITUB4; 6.286%), Bradesco PN (BBDC4; 5.378%), B3 (B3SA3; 5.252%) and Petrobras PN (PETR4; 5.187%). On the other hand, Cia. Hering (HGTX3), EcoRodovias (ECOR3) and JHSF (JHSF3) are Ibovespa’s smallest holdings, the three with 0.095% weight.

It should be noted that, the day before, B3 informed that it would keep the roles of Pão de Açúcar (PCAR3) and Assaí (ASAI3) in the Ibovespa and IBrX 100 portfolios.

“After consulting the participants and aiming at preserving the regular and efficient functioning of the markets, Companhia Brasileira de Distribuição (PCAR3), which underwent a corporate reorganization, and Sendas Distribuidora SA (ASAI3), resulting from this reorganization, will remain constituting the portfolios of Ibovespa and IBrX 100 indices in the next term (from 05/03/2021 to 09/03/2021) ”, he highlighted in a note to the market.

Thus, ASAI3 was maintained in the index portfolios, “even considering that, at present, the company does not meet the Negotiability Index in isolation, although it has shown presence on the floor”.

The other two previews of the theoretical portfolio valid for the period from May to August will be released on the 16th and 29th of April. The definitive portfolio begins to take effect on May 3.
