A nurse and one of his patients from Covid-19 were awarded at the Mega-Sena da Virada, drawn on December 31, 2020. The two did not win with a game together, they only met months later, in Campinas, in the interior of São Paulo. The information is from UOL.
Health professional Claudinei Pereira dos Santos, 30, discovered by patient Rogério Maia, 51, that he had hit four dozen out of the six drawn at Mega da Virada. Maia told the nurse that he had won five dozen in the lottery, which gave him the prize of R $ 7,325.26.
Because of this, the nurse decided to check the numbers of his bet and found that he had hit four dozen, taking R $ 919.27.
“I said that I also bet on Virada, but as I knew that the winning person was not from Campinas, I didn’t even check the result,” Santos told UOL. “Rogério told me that I should check, because millions I wouldn’t pocket, but I could have some smaller prize,” said the nurse, who redeemed the prize on Monday (29), two days before the deadline for receiving the prize, this Wednesday (31).
