Petrobras informs that it asked the ministry about statements referring to the state’s pricing policy

About the statements attributed to the President of the Republic, Jair Bolsonaro, involving the gas readjustment and about possible changes in Petrobras’ price policy, the state company informs in a statement released on Wednesday, 7, that “asked its controlling shareholder, for through the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME), on the existence of relevant information that should be disclosed to the market, and so far, it has not received a response ”.

In Foz do Iguaçu (PR), for the inauguration ceremony of General João Francisco Ferreira as the new Brazilian general director of Itaipu Binacional, Bolsonaro defended greater predictability in Petrobras’ pricing policy, in addition to transparency.

The head of the Executive also asked for the participation of parliament to approve the government’s project on the collection of the Tax on the Circulation of Goods and Services (ICMS) on fuels.

He indicated that the state’s pricing policy could be modified with the approval of the text.
