Average prices of hydrated ethanol fell in 20 states and the Federal District in the last week, according to a survey by National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) compiled by AE-Rates.

At the stations surveyed by the ANP across the country, the average price of ethanol fell 4.6% in the week from March 28 to April 3 compared to the previous one, from R $ 4.067 to R $ 3.880 per liter. In São Paulo, the main producer, consumer state and with the most stations evaluated, the average price of hydrated products was R $ 3.658, a decrease of 5.04% compared to the previous week.

The minimum price recorded last week for ethanol at a gas station was R $ 2.999 per liter, in São Paulo, and the lowest state average price, at R $ 3.658, also in São Paulo.

The maximum price, of R $ 5.999 per liter, was verified at a gas station in Rio de Janeiro. The highest state average price was that of Rio Grande do Sul, at R $ 5.302. In the monthly comparison, the average price of biofuel in the country advanced 6.42%.

The state with the highest increase in the period was Mato Grosso do Sul, where the liter rose 18.74%. In the monthly calculation, all the counted states and the Federal District showed an appreciation of biofuel.
