And now, WhatsApp ?! Leak confirms that Mark Zuckerberg uses Signal

According to information revealed this weekend, Facebook has leaked more than 500 million phones and user data. The incident also ended up exposing information from the CEO and founder of the social network, Mark Zuckerberg.

That’s because some security researchers were able to locate his name, phone number, location, wedding details and user ID on Facebook. In addition, Dave Walker revealed that Zuckerberg also has an account on the Signal app.

As much as it may seem like something normal, everything indicates that the executive has used the competitor messenger of WhatsApp in his day to day. Pinning Zuckerberg, Walker said:

In another turn of events, Mark Zuckerberg also respects his own privacy, using a chat app that has end-to-end encryption and is not owned by Facebook. This is the number associated with your account from the recent Facebook leak.

For a while, Zuckerberg did not comment on the matter. Even so, this recent discovery could be another stumbling block for WhatsApp. That’s because the messenger started to lose users after making a change in their privacy policy.

Currently, WhatsApp has required its users to agree to the new terms. This made a lot of people run for Telegram or Signal.

It is worth remembering that Signal also offers end-to-end encryption as a differential for its users. Recently, even Elon Musk recommended the messenger through Twitter, while one of the founders of WhatsApp started investing in the app.
