Which 2021 SUV offers the best package?
These two vehicles are the bestsellers in the category (SUV 2021). In 2020, according to the National Federation of Motor Vehicle Distribution (FENABRAVE), the North American brand model ended the ranking of best sellers in 9th position (56,865). The car of the South Korean manufacturer closed the year at the 14th (47,757). If we only count the category in question, they were among the top three sellers.
But which one is the ideal option?
This is a very common question, since both have their qualities and defects. For example: when it comes to engine, the Jeep has two stronger engines in its portfolio. While the 1.8 16v Flex generates 135 hp (gasoline) and 139 hp (ethanol) at 5,750 rpm, the 2.0 diesel generates 170 hp at 3,750 rpm.
Hyundai has 1.6 Gamma Flex and 2.0 Nu Flex. The first has power of 123 hp (gasoline) and 130 hp (alcohol). The second can develop 156hp (gasoline) and 166hp (ethanol).
But in practice, the story is different. Despite being stronger, the first sins a little at the time of acceleration because it is heavier than the competitor.
Measures and trunk
Another requirement much sought after when buying a 2021 SUV is the internal space. In addition to being taller (1722 mm x 1635 mm), Renegade beats Crete if we count the wheelbase (2570 mm x 2590 mm) and the length (4235 mm x 4290 mm). However, the Korean opens up a good advantage when it comes to the trunk (431 l for Crete and 320 l for Renegade).
Price 2021 SUV
It is the most important issue for many consumers. Both have versions that cost less than R $ 100 thousand. For the 2021 line, Hyundai offers three options for the consumer: Action (R $ 78,990), Smart Plus (84,990) and Limited (95,990).
The Renegade, on the other hand, only has the Sport 1.8 16V Automatic Flex version and costs from R $ 95,890. However, it is the most “basic compared to the Creta Smart Plus, since the Korean already comes with treats like a 7-inch multimedia screen (with Digital TV), reverse camera, parking sensor, pocketknife, daytime running light, opening and closing the windows in the key and twilight sensor.
The value of the more complete versions is another positive point of the SUV manufactured in Piracicaba-SP. The top-of-the-line version is the Creta Prestige 2.0 automatic. It costs from R $ 113,990. Meanwhile, the most expensive of the FCA Group’s vehicle line is the Renegade Trailhawk 2.0 Turbo, which is worth R $ 165,990.
The Hyundai Creta is a great option for those looking for a complete 2021 SUV with a more affordable price. In addition, the trunk has a greater capacity.
