The end of the Ford Ka, Ka Sedan and EcoSport was already announced, since the manufacturer said it would close its plant in Camaçari (BA). However, with inventory in stores, the brand continued to list the trio on its website to help sell the remaining units of the hatch, sedan and compact SUV. So much so that the Ka was the company’s most popular car in March, with 1,488 units, followed by EcoSport, which registered 526 vehicles.
With this change, whoever visits a Ford dealership will find the Ranger pickup as the company’s cheapest model, costing R $ 166,790 in the XL Cabine Simples 2.2 diesel 4×4 version. Almost all variants with the 2.2 diesel are the most affordable until reaching the R $ 179,900 for the new Ranger Black, which has the same price as the Ford Territory in the SEL Turbo version.
In addition to Ranger and Territory, Ford also sells the Edge SUV in the ST version, equipped with the 2.7 V6 biturbo 335 hp and 54.5 kgfm, costing R $ 351,950. The utility almost receives the title of the most expensive model of the brand in Brazil, if not for the Mustang Black Shadow, marketed for R $ 396,900, with its 5.0 V8 engine of 466 hp and 56.7 kgfm.
The Ford line will not be as lean as that. The manufacturer is preparing the arrival of three novelties for this year, starting with the Bronco Sport SUV, the smallest of the new Bronco line, which will come imported from Mexico and is scheduled to debut in the first semester – it has already been emplacado em Brasil. The company will also bring the Transit van, assembled in Uruguay; and the Mustang Mach 1, with 486 hp and exclusive look. Another novelty will be the Maverick pickup, positioned below the Ranger, but which will make its debut only in 2022.
