Second, the rules on the Caixa website, anyone who is already employed or receiving unemployment insurance or still gains some social security or assistance benefit (other than Bolsa Família) will be excluded from payments. The forecast is that the new values will be R $ 150, R $ 250 and R $ 375, depending on the composition of each family.
The new system takes into account information from 11 databases, including that of the General Register of Employed and Unemployed (Caged) and that of the National Institute of Social Security (INSS). According to them, people who are in some of the following situations will not be entitled to new emergency assistance.
Who is not entitled to the new emergency aid?
- Who belongs to the family with an income above three minimum wages (R $ 3,135) or that the monthly income per family member is greater than half a minimum wage (R $ 522.50);
- Who is receiving social security, assistance or federal income transfer benefits (excluding Bolsa Família);
- Who is receiving unemployment insurance;
- Who has a formal job;
- Those who received taxable income above the amount of R $ 28,559.70 in the previous year, according to the Individual Income Tax (IRPF) declaration.
Only one person per family
During 2020, a maximum of two people from the same family could receive emergency aid, but this rule has been changed and now only one member of the family can receive the money. Women and the elderly are preferred in receiving the benefit. The government will only use the registrations made last year, so there will be no opening of new registrations.
