This is confirmed by the municipality to VG.
– We are aware that about ten people have booked appointments and been vaccinated before it was their turn because it was technically possible for more people to book an appointment in the Health Book app, says Madli Indseth, business manager for medical activities.
In addition, a few people had booked an appointment for the coming week. Hours have been canceled.
Drammen is vaccinating risk group 4, which is people between 65 and 74 years, as well as other, younger adults with underlying diseases.
FHI chief physician Preben Aavitsland tells VG that he is shocked.
– I am shocked that some are actually so mean that they sneak into the vaccine queue. Those who are now at the forefront of that queue include cancer patients, people with Down syndrome or cerebral palsy and people with severe ALS or MS. If any young, healthy people think they have the right to sneak in front of them in the queue, I would like to have a serious chat with them, he says.
The municipality did not want to provide information about age or further information about the ten people who received the vaccine before it was their turn.
– The incident in Drammen is a reminder to other municipalities to review their routines, says Aavitsland and adds that he thinks there is little sneaking in the vaccine queue around the country.
