Brazil surpassed the mark of 330,000 killed by covid-19 this Saturday (3). With 1,931 deaths registered in the last 24 hours, the country has an average of 2,800 deaths in the last seven days. The survey is the consortium of press vehicles from which the Twitter is part, based on data provided by the state health departments.

The data represents a decrease compared to previous days, which is already expected. There is a historic drop in the number of cases and deaths during weekends and holidays due to the on-call schedule at the secretariats. Even so, the country reached 330,297 dead and 12,952,621 infected by the disease.

According to data from the University Johns Hopkins, who follows the evolution of the pandemic, only the United States, with almost 555,000 deaths, had more deaths due to covid than Brazil. In 2021 alone, more Brazilians died from the infection than the number of victims in the UK throughout the pandemic.

In the last 24 hours, 40,242 new cases of covid-19 have been reported. The data does not indicate when the deaths and confirmation of the cases actually occurred, but rather when they started to appear in the databases of the states.

According to the Ministry of Health, Brazil registered 1,987 new deaths caused by covid-19 in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health. Since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been 330,193 deaths caused by the disease.

Despite the drop over the past two days, the country continues to show more than 1,000 daily deaths. This week has been a record: the worst day, with 3,869 deaths, was seen last Wednesday (31), while Tuesday (30) presented the second highest mark (3,780).

From yesterday to today, according to the folder numbers, there were 43,515 confirmed cases of covid-19 in the country. The total number of infected people has risen to 12,953,597 since March 2020, of which 11,305,746 people have recovered, with another 1,317,658 still being followed up.
