PSP agent jumps to the Tagus river in Lisbon to save a man

An agent of the Lisbon PSP risked his life, this Friday night, to save a man from the waters of the Tagus River.

The policeman from the PSP Baixa Police Station was on patrol with a colleague when, at 9:45 pm, they received an alert for a person to drown in the area of ​​Ribeira das Naus, writes the Correio da Manhã.

The agent got out of the police vehicle, jumped into the water and swam about 20 meters until reaching the victim, having managed to bring him to the bank, where he was taken by the local firefighters and transported to the hospital of São José.

According to an official source from the Lisbon PSP, cited by the same publication, he is a man of about 45 years of age who accidentally fell to the Tagus.
