At least three dead and nine wounded in two US shootings

O The shooting in Wilmington occurred early today, inside a house, during a party, seven people were hit, according to a statement released by city police, who are investigating the causes of the incident.

Police officers received a report of gunfire, finding people shot inside the residence, three of whom eventually died and the remaining four were transported to the New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, the statement said.

“Our hearts are with everyone affected by this senseless violence”, adds the note, in which cooperation is requested from anyone who has any information about the incident.

In another shootout, which also occurred early today, but in Tuscaloosa, five people were injured, says a note from the local police, stating that the incident took place in the parking lot of a bar located in the center of the city.

The injured were transported to the DCH Regional Medical Center, their condition is unknown.

Police, who responded to an emergency call, detained two people, according to the local WBRC station.

In the past few weeks there have been several shootings in the United States, which have resulted in at least 24 deaths, ten of which in a supermarket in Boulder (Colorado), from within which an individual fired an assault weapon.

On March 16, eight people died as a result of shots fired at various massage parlors in Atlanta (Georgia), reopening the debate on gun ownership in the country.
