Dilma Rousseff sends message of support to the actor

Former President Dilma Rousseff sent a message of support to Paulo Gustavo through her social networks this afternoon. The actor has been admitted to a hospital in Rio de Janeiro with covid-19 since March 13 and has worsened in the clinical picture.

“Adding to the prayers of Paulo Gustavo’s friends to wish him well and win this battle! He will come out of this. We are here in good vibes. Cheers, Paulo Gustavo. Brazil is all about you. A kiss”, he wrote.

The statement released yesterday affirms that the artist underwent “therapeutic readjustments” due to a worsening of the clinical picture, which motivated the evolution to therapy by ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation).

The technique is used in people with cardiovascular or lung failure. The therapy relies on the use of a pump to circulate blood through an artificial lung outside the body, and then return to the bloodstream.

At dawn today, Paulo Gustavo’s husband, Thales Bretas, spoke after the news.

“I am living difficult days … Choosing to stay in prison, without exposing pain or difficulties on the internet. I am living a particular moment in my family, which I still don’t know why but in the future I hope to understand. And always with a lot of faith, a lot of thought positive to have the love of my life by my side again “, he wrote.
