Lotto, Super Draw | 47 new Lotto millionaires after Super Draw

Tradition believes it was again a Super Draw at Easter. Again, we got super many new Lotto millionaires.

In total, it ended with 47 new Lotto millionaires after the Easter Super Draw in Lotto. Norsk Tipping is now working hard to reach the various winners.

The article is continuously updated.

Deadline for Viking Lotto is Wednesday at 18:00

Why Super Draw is great

Four times a year, there is a Super Draw in Lotto, where extra people are drawn who win a million kroner each. In this year’s first Supertrekning, the Supertrekning pot was worth NOK 47 million. It ended in 47 million coupons, two of which were cooperative banks that share the million premium internally. Thus, there were 45 extra Lotto millionaires via Super Draw. This is in addition to the ordinary Lotto draw.

If you win in the Super Draw, you have won on a coupon you have played on after the previous Super Draw, randomly drawn from all the coupons since the last time. The prize is one million Norwegian kroner, without having guessed a single correct number.

Deadline for Lotto is 18:00 on Saturday.

New Lotto chances next Saturday

On Saturday 10 April, there are new opportunities to become a Lotto millionaire. If you are alone in getting seven straight, you can win approx. 14 million kroner.

Deadline for Lotto is 18:00 on Saturday.

While we wait

Before we hear how the winners of this draw are doing, we can enjoy one of the reactions from the last Super Draw. 30-year-old Ole Kristoffer Haugen from Steinkjer was among the winners at the time. He did not seem to think that winning was a real possibility.

– Are you serious now? So it is possible to have luck, that was Haugen’s first reaction.

He was enjoying himself with a Bayern Munich match on TV when Norsk Tipping called.

– Now I might find a new place to live. I will consider that now.

He had a subscription to Lotto and won the submitted series from the week before the current Super Draw.

Winning Chance Lotto

To win first prize in Lotto, the player must have 7 correct winning numbers out of 34 possible. This means that if you play one row, the theoretical probability of getting 7 straight is 1: 5.37 million per row (rounded up to 1: 5.4 million per row). In other words, there are 5.4 million possible combinations of 7 numbers when you subtract 7 from the 34 numbers. Statistically, you win a prize with 4 straight or better on average on every fifth coupon in five rows. Read more about the chance of winning the Lotto here.

  • Total number of premium payments in 2019: 11,509,409
  • Number of first prize payments in 2019: 190
  • Number of millionaires in 2019: 179 (including cooperative bank winners and cooperative winners)
  • Highest premium payment in 2019: NOK 29,455,620

Chance of winning Super draw

Super draw in Lotto is held four times a year. This is an additional game that you automatically participate in when you deliver your regular Lotto series. Here, several random winners of NOK 1 million are drawn. The winners are drawn at random from everyone who has played Lotto since the previous Super Draw. All Lotto rows submitted between two Super Draws are in the draw. Each row played is converted into a participation (lottery) in the draw.

Chance of winning in Super Draw is approx. 1: 5.5 million per participating row. Explanation: Every week, 7.35 percent of the prize pool in Lotto is transferred to the next Super Draw pot, or at the micro level: 18,375 øre per row. If the pot is, for example, NOK 35 million, it means that approximately 190 million rows have been handed in, have contributed to the pot and are in the draw. 190 million divided by 35, gives approx. 1: 5.5 million per row in chance of winning. In other words, the chance of winning will be fixed, while the number of million winners will vary based on the number of submitted rows. The more submitted rows between each Super Draw, the more million winners will be drawn.

The number of winners in the Super Draw in 2020 (NOK 1 million each) was 149. In addition, 6 cooperative banks won (1 cooperative bank consists of 10 people each – who each win NOK 100,000)
