In the last 24 hours, 280 cases of covid-19 were registered in Portugal, down from 548 cases reported on Good Friday, the lowest value since March 22 (a Monday), according to data from the General Directorate of (DGS) released this Saturday, April 3rd.
Lisbon and Tagus Valley accounted for 34% of new cases and the north for 26%.
The DGS report counts 318 the number of recovered, against 743 yesterday.
There are thus fewer active cases (minus 45), calculated by subtracting recovered patients and deaths from the total number of infections, to a total of 26,294, the lowest figure since October. It is the fifth consecutive day that is within the 26,000 active cases.
The number of patients hospitalized in Portugal due to covid-19 decreased for the sixth consecutive day. At least 1 person is now hospitalized, out of a total of 512. In intensive care there are less than 5 people out of a total of 126.
